9:30 Club, Washington DC |

Jaff and Baz slept in until half-five this afternoon, but, with soundcheck being so delayed, it gave Sancho and myself a great opportunity to head a bit deeper into town, and, as it turned out, make some new pals along the way.
We went into a record store on 18th, and Bill, who ran the place couldn't have been friendlier despite the shop having been flooded only days earlier. Nightmare for him. Marshall, from District Line clothes shop was similarly pleased to see us, it would seem - and by this point, Sancho and I were getting Twilight Zone vibes.... Skeptical Brits....
The 9:30 Club is an awesome venue, by the way - probably not a better club show in America. The place was a-bubblin' tonight, and the evening was capped perfectly with Vegetarian Chili Fries from the apparently long-standing ‘Ben's Chili Bowl' - Get in! |
