| I get woken up this morning with a phone call from Sean who works for Vagrant Records, telling me that we need to eat at some place called ‘Crooks Corner'. He describes it as ‘Southern Gourmet' - being veggie, I'm suspicious. Nevertheless, after soundcheck, all four of us give it a go, and are unbelievably surprised by it. Fresh vegetables - a tour bonus! Dave goes for Shrimp and Grits - not really sure about Grits - it looks like salty, sandy porridge to me. I'd be intrigued to know your thoughts on them.... We haven't played this venue since supporting Franz Ferdinand here a couple of years ago, and I'll tell you what, for a show that we weren't too sure we'd have many fans at, the Cats Cradle was a great gig - it felt like the sort of place in which people really look forward to their gigs. And that's great for a touring band to see. |
