Day Off in Lincoln, Nebraska |

Jaff and Paul (Sancho/Merch) have organized a game of golf for today's day off, putting my free time into serious jeopardy. I can't bring myself to traipse around 18 holes with those bores, so I decide to set off on my own for a little exploration of downtown Lincoln. It doesn't take very long before I'm struggling. First off, half of the places I want to visit on the map don't seem to exist in real-life, and after a spell in some of the cities' ‘Pawn Shops', I return to the hotel, empty-handed.
I spend the rest of my day looking at crowd-scenes of fans of Serbian football team, Crvena Zvezda, on U-Tube - I'm reading Jonathan Willis' book, ‘Behind The Curtain', you see - it's an history of Eastern European football, and the political forces that have blighted or revived the game in each respective territory. |
