Weirdest gig of the tour. It's a party for T-Mobile, but don't worry- they're paying us an absolute shit-load of money, and it's allowing us to take full crew on this US tour - you could say it's paying the bills. It's absolutely crackers to see loads of LA-types in the crowd (Blink 182, No Doubt, Paris Hilton - Neill (Tech) and Sancho (Merch) get their photo's taken with ‘Iron' Mike Tyson!).
As you can imagine, apart from a small punk-rock contingent, most are more interested in the free bar than us, so we decide to change the names of a few of our songs to: ‘Fists Of Semtex', ‘Just Think Of The Money And It Suddenly All makes Sense', and ‘Sometimes, People Can Look So Fucking Stupid'. It's got to be done. Joaquin Phoenix is enjoying a tab out the back as we leave - you'd never catch him in the ‘toon would you? |
